The new thing in hair is to figure out your hair type and customize your own natural hair products to help you retain moisture, shine, vibrancy, and promote growth. I created one for 3B and 3C hair type.

 

Hair Voodoo can be used on wet or dry hair. It is great for scalp treatments, and as a hair moisturizer for natural hair. This product is temperature sensitive please store in a cool place.

Ingredients: Refined Shea Butter, Honey, Collagen, Cholesterol, Indian Hemp, Olive Butter, Mango Butter, Soy, Aloe, Argan Oil, White Grape Seed Oil, Marula Oil, Coconut Oil, and Baby Powder Oil for fragrance.

Straight Hair Don't Care

Since going natural 13 years ago I have desired to have straight hair again, but without having to use chemicals. I have tried the old fashion press and curl, a Dominican blowout, and a strand flat iron. All three produced nice temporary results and alter curl definition, due to the various degrees of heat exposure. I asked several of my "Curlfriend" what they have tried and I kept hearing Keratin Treatments.  Keratin is a protein found in hair and a health head of hair already contains 70% Keratin. This product is applied to the hair and sealed with the heat of the flat iron. Keratin Treatments are designed to last between 4-6 weeks. Bloggers all claimed that there were no side effects; however heat is still being used to activate the treatment. I decided to research further, and found on several blogs that the products can change the curl definition of the hair if the product is used too often. Another issue is an ingredient found in salon strength keratin products known as formaldehyde, was causing health problems in the stylist who regularly applying the products to their clients. This changed my mine completely because I love my hair stylist, and didn't want him getting sick just so I can be extra fine! lol After even more hours of research a heat-free product and formaldehyde-free product was mentioned. Keratin Treatment Therapy Feedback

This treatment was not successful for me personally; although I  have seen it work for others. I guess it works better on different types of hair and mine was not one of them. I will say it made blow drying easier and I had less tangles but that's about it!
